What Is PRP?
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) starts with a small blood draw. Your sample is processed in a centrifuge to concentrate platelets.
Platelets contain growth factors involved in tissue repair and regeneration. That PRP is then delivered using small injections (scalp or face) or paired with microneedling, depending on your goal.
PRP is popular because it uses your own blood components and supports gradual change over time.
Best For:
Hair

uneven texture/tone, fine lines, visible pores, acne scarring support
Typical Plan:
A short series first (often 3–4 sessions) spaced about 3–4 weeks apart, then reassess
Downtime:
Usually mild redness/tenderness for a short period
When To Evaluate Results:

Is PRP Right for Me?
PRP is often a good fit if you…
- Want a natural, gradual approach
- Are okay doing a short series (not one-and-done)
- Want a plan that can be combined with other supports if needed
PRP might not be a fit right now if you…
We’ll screen this in your consult, but PRP may not be appropriate if you:
- Have an active infection or illness
- Have a bleeding disorder or low platelet count
- Are on certain blood thinners (don’t stop anything without medical advice)
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding (we’ll discuss timing and options)
- Have uncontrolled health conditions that make healing unpredictable
If you’re unsure, that’s normal — we’ll help you decide whether PRP makes sense or if something else is a better first step.
OUR PRP CONSULTATION APPROACH
This is what we cover before recommending PRP
- Your Goal + Priority Area
Hair density? Skin texture? Both? - Your Timeline + Session Commitment
We plan around what you can realistically do. - Health + Medication/Supplement Review
We screen for factors that affect bruising, healing, and suitability. - Fit / Non-fit Decision
If PRP isn’t the right first step, we’ll tell you. - Plan + Follow-up
We outline the series, reassessment timing, and maintenance expectations.
PRP for Hair Restoration (Scalp)
PRP scalp injections focus on supporting hair follicles using concentrated platelets and growth factors. This is often a good choice for early-to-moderate thinning or targeted density support.
Typical plan (varies)
- A short initial series (often 3–4 sessions)
- Spacing of about 3–4 weeks between early sessions
- Maintenance sessions, depending on your response and goals
Realistic hair timeline
Hair changes take time because hair grows in cycles:
- Weeks 1–4: not much visible change (normal)
- Months 2–3: reduced shedding for some people, early improvements in feel/coverage
- Months 4–6: more noticeable changes in density/thickness (varies)
- After 6 months: better point for comparing photos and deciding on maintenance
During your consult, we confirm whether PRP matches your concern and timeline.
If you want a more complete plan, we can also discuss our Hair Loss Program during your consult.
PRP for Face/Neck
PRP can support skin (face/neck) quality and renewal. Many people choose PRP for:
- Texture and tone support
- Fine lines
- Uneven texture or visible pores
- Acne scarring support
PRP for skin may be done with small injections and is also commonly paired with microneedling, depending on your goal.
During your consult, we confirm whether PRP matches your concern and timeline.
If your main concern is skin texture, you may also want to look at Microneedling.
Treatment Options:

We outline:
- number of sessions
- spacing
- when to reassess
- whether maintenance is likely
AFTERCARE
We’ll give you exact aftercare instructions based on your treatment area, but here’s what most people can expect:
After PRP injections (scalp or face)
- Mild tenderness, tightness, or swelling can happen
- Avoid heavy sweating, saunas, hot tubs, and heat exposure for a short window (we’ll tell you exactly how long)
- Avoid harsh active skincare right away on the treated area
- If you take certain medications or supplements that affect bruising, we’ll discuss what’s safe before your appointment
How We Measure Progress
PRP results are gradual. We set expectations clearly and use simple tracking so you know whether the plan is working.
For hair
- We may recommend baseline photos and consistent re-check timing
- We assess changes in shedding, coverage, and density over time
- A fair evaluation window is often 4–6 months for hair
For skin (face/neck)
- We track texture and tone changes over several weeks
- Scarring and deeper texture concerns usually require a series
Preparing for Your Appointment
To make your consultation and treatment smoother
- Bring a list of medications and supplements
- Be ready to share when the issue started (hair thinning/shedding or skin changes)
- Tell us about recent health or lifestyle changes (stress, illness, hormones)
- If you’re using active skincare (retinoids/acids), tell us so we can guide timing
